At a time when you can’t book a flight because you’re worried when you arrive at the airport there might not be anyone to fly the plane, Union bosses are arguably the most hated individuals in the country. However, they have risen monumentally in my estimation after the TUC has publicly stated that "everyone wins" if companies implement flexible hours and be tolerant to those workers wishing to watch the World Cup. This comes hot on the heels of a YouGov survey which claims that around thirty eight percent of full-time workers aged between 18 and 45 said they will fail to turn up for work because they are supporting the England team. If there was any further proof that runners should immediately rush out and buy a 50 inch plasa TV for the meeting room (preferably an LG 3D TV), Sky News has reported that it’s likely office computer systems crashing in record numbers as 54% of people interviewed said they’d be streaming matches secretly on their office PCs. So to all agencies and prodco’s out there, you have been warned!
