Christian Jankowski: Casting Jesus

Ever wondered what it might take to convince the Vatican you are the modern interpretation of Jesus? Well your prayers have been answered. Jankowski’s chance encounter of James Caviezel’s pre-take pep talk on the Passion of the Christ’s set by 2 priests in Italy inspired the concept for his next film ‘Casting Jesus’ Using the modern day format of a game show, the film aims to find the ultimate embodiment of Jesus today from a line up of competing actors. And no, Andrew Lloyd Webber was not in attendance on the judging panel. Instead, whittling down the 13 hopefuls and watching the candidates perform their best bread breaking, cross carrying and miracle performing skills are a jury of distinguished Vatican members.
